Europa Nostra 2011; Part II.

vrijdag 10 juni 2011

Forest Returns decided to become active member of Europa Nostra. When monuments, country estates or sites are in danger by uncontrolled development, environmental change, neglect or conflict, Europa Nostra raises her voice. Cooperation and solidarity between heritage organisations are vital to ensure that witnesses of our past are here to enjoy today and in the future. This year Europa Nostra rewards in Amsterdam the best of cultural heritage achievements. Through European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage / Europa Nostra Awards, we celebrate excellence and dedication by architects, craftsmen, volunteers, schools, local communities, heritage owners and media. Through the power of their example we stimulate creativity and innovation. This photo-album part II. shows pictures of the lecture of Sir David Chipperfield (the `Neues Museum` in Berlin) in the Westergasfabriek Cultuur Park`, the reception in the `Amstelkerk`, hosted bij Stadsherstel, the informal canal tour, the forum discussion about volunteers and the award ceremony & European concert in the `Concertgebouw`.
